
Prof. Yuncheng Jiang, South China Normal University, China
Yuncheng Jiang is a Grade 2 Professor and holds a Ph.D. degree. He serves as a Doctoral Supervisor, a Distinguished Professor under the Pearl River Scholars Program, and currently as the Dean of the School of Computer Science at South China Normal University (Guangzhou). He also holds concurrent positions as the Deputy Head of the Division of Engineering and the Dean of the School of Artificial Intelligence (Foshan). Professor Jiang is the Director of the Guangdong Provincial Engineering Research Center for Intelligent Science, the Deputy Director of the Guangdong Provincial Engineering Research Center for Data Science, and the Vice Chair of the Guangdong Provincial Undergraduate Computer Science Teaching Guidance Committee. He is a member of the Steering Committee of the KSEM conference series, Chair of the IEEE Education Data Mining Working Group, and Vice Chair of ACM Guangzhou. He is a Distinguished Member of the China Computer Federation (CCF) and serves on the Executive Committees of the CCF Technical Committee on Artificial Intelligence & Pattern Recognition, the CCF Technical Committee on Theoretical Computer Science, and the CCF Science Education Innovation Forum. Within the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI), he is the Secretary General and a Standing Committee Member of the Technical Committee on Discrete Intelligent Computing, and a member of the Technical Committees on Knowledge Engineering and Distributed Intelligence, as well as Mind Computation. He is also the Vice Chair of the Normal Education Branch of the National Association of Computer Education Research in Higher Education Institutions, Vice Chair of the Guangdong Provincial Association for Digital Intelligence Science and Technology, an Executive Council Member of the Guangdong Computer Society, and serves as Deputy Director of its Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Technical Committees. Furthermore, he is an Executive Council Member of the Guangdong Institute of Communications, a Supervisor of the Guangdong Artificial Intelligence Industry Association, a Council Member of the Guangdong Association for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Vice President of the Guangzhou Artificial Intelligence Society, and a member of IEEE, ACM, and the Chinese Information Processing Society of China. Professor Jiang served as the General Co-Chair of CCF NCTCS 2023, and as Program Committee Co-Chair for KSEM 2023, CAAI DMAI (2023, 2024, 2025), NCIIP 2025, and PRICAI 2026. He was the Forum Co-Chair for PRICAI 2024, Chair of IWEAI 2024 and 2025, and Topic Chair on Data Intelligence and Knowledge Discovery for ADMA (2024, 2025) and MLCCIM 2025. He graduated from the Institute of Computing Technology at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2004 with a Ph.D. in Computer Software and Theory. He completed his postdoctoral research at the School of Mathematics and Computational Science and the School of Information Science and Technology at Sun Yat-sen University in 2007. In 2007, he was promoted to Professor of Computer Science. He joined the School of Computer Science at South China Normal University in 2009. In 2010, he was selected as a provincial-level candidate for the Guangdong Province "Thousand-Hundred-Ten" Project. In 2012, he was supported by the Ministry of Education's Program for New Century Excellent Talents. In 2018, he was appointed as a Distinguished Professor under the Pearl River Scholars Program. His main research interests include graph computing, multimodal knowledge graphs, graph neural networks, educational artificial intelligence, and data science.
